Irmina Staś (born 1986) is a graduate of the Painting Faculty at the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw. She reinterprets the language of lyrical abstraction with her “Organisms” series, which consists of large, colourful canvases referring to metabolic processes and body structures in an allusive way.
She is the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage’s scholar, a laureate of the “New Image – New Look” prize awarded by the University of Arts in Poznań, as well as a finalist of both the 43rd “Bielska Jesień” Painting Biennial and Strabag Art Award International.
In 2013, her works were presented in Strabag Kunstforum in Vienna during a solo show “Organismen” as well as in the “Coming out” exhibition, showing best diplomas of the Fine Arts Academy in Warsaw. Since then, she has taken part in many group exhibitions, such as “Wątpia” at Monopol Gallery in Warsaw and “The Power Of Abstraction” at the National Museum in Minsk.
